Analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) are all important steps in the design of effective e-learning applications or any learning program. While there have been many adaptations of ADDIE, many of them were made before we had today's tools, challenges, and opportunities. As is being realized by the software industry with Agile, more radical process changes are now both needed and possible. The benefits: More efficient and effective processes and superior learning experiences in less time.
5. Poll Question
If a genie granted your wishes,
what process outcomes would
you wish for?
6. The foundational notions of
ADDIE are quite old now and
address problems and
opportunities that have
changed dramatically and
significantly over the years…
10. Criterion 1 Iterative
A preferred process reveals as
much about the developing
product as early and
continuously as possible —
when corrections cost the
least.
12. Poll Question
What size is your team?
How is your team composed?
13. Criterion 2 Collaborative
An effective collaboration
model makes the most of the
ideas, opinions, experiences,
and knowledge of people
with value to offer.
18. Criterion 4 Manageable
The model should predict the
impact of in-process changes
within time and budget and
produce a product that meets
criteria for quality.
