This document discusses a project to activate bus stops through placemaking interventions. The goals are to alleviate problems at specific stops like graffiti or crime, improve the image of partners like the city and transit agencies, and stimulate engagement in surrounding neighborhoods. It provides examples of precedents where places like shelters were transformed using art, technology or activities. The proposed process is to select two stops, develop plans with partners through workshops, implement activations for 4 days in September, and evaluate the results with conference participants through a mobile session.
