SOCIAL SAMOSA AGNECYCON 2025 GUIDEBOOK.pdfSocial Samosa
Social Samosa is back with the fifth edition of Indian Agency Awards and Summit, AgencyCon 2025, where we appreciate and celebrate #AgencyCulture and the people behind it. Here's a guidebook answering all your FAQs.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

In this blog, I make two assumptions about you:
1)You don’t have a lot of money to invest in your Blog or site and
hire a digital marketing specialist to get your blog ranked into the
top 10 on Google for you.
2. 2)Your final goal is to make a living online from your Blog or site
and make that your full-time job.
So let`s get some things straightened out about Marketing
Mistakes with Affiliate Marketing for Dummies Concepts,
If you want to start as an affiliate marketer, it´s important to
understand you are beginning of what could be an extremely
lucrative profession in case that you decide to do what it takes to
succeed.
You need to devote yourself entirely to your goal. ALL your spare
time, which is not spending working at your workplace needs to
be committed to your blog (say goodbye to social life! Or any
other hobby). Or you won’t make it online, that´s for sure.
In order to understand how to find the best affiliate program, we
need to do some “Mythbusting” first:
3. “Best-affiliate-marketing-programs” There is NO best affiliate
program! Stop looking for the best paying affiliate programs..
Select an affiliate program based on your interests
Make sure to choose something that won’t make you sick just by
listening or reading about it after two years of blogging - two
years of blogging without getting any substantial money from
blogging.
That´s the reality for the most bloggers out there. So, make sure
you blog about a topic you like to talk and blog about.
4. How should a blog or website look, when starting off with
affiliate marketing?
Should A blog or website have a lot of banners promoting
affiliate stuff?
One of the indispensable issues about online affiliate marketing
is strictly to abstain from over-burdening your website with
affiliate banners. There is a limit on how many ads you can put
on your website before you start to look like a spammer, (thin
affiliate site).
5. A Blog stuffed with pages full of banners, not just doesn't make
your blog unattractive. But your visitors could get irritated
because it gives them the feeling you want to sell them your
products.
6. A visitor comes to your blog in the first place to find answers to
their questions or to read quality content about a topic that`s
interesting to them.
Try to integrate a call to action banner where people can
subscribe to your blog. You can do this by connecting your blog
to an email auto-responder service that automatically will send
updates of your blog to your subscribers.Give them a FREE offer
somthing like an E-BOOK or PODCAST with tips.
You will see that more people will visit your blog, and when
somebody subscribes to your blog, you can then later, if you
build confidence with them, promote your affiliate product
through e-mail marketing campaign. Make sure your blog is
connected with an email auto-responder service
Sticking to one single affiliate associate in the same
specialty
If you want to make a profit with affiliate marketing, it`s better
to profile yourself as an expert on the topic you write about.
The best way would be, to invest some time in the product, or
service you want to promote, and learning everything about that
product or service you are going to promote as an affiliate
marketer.
7. There are a lot of companies that offer their products. I am not
going to list them all up for you, but some very well known are,
Amazon and Click bank.
Take your time to investigate the different offers that are on the
different affiliate pages on the internet.
Why?
The reason is that there may be different companies offering a
similar affiliate product that`s in your niche, but with different
percentages of payment.
Of course, you want the one that pays GOOD and offers some
kind of monthly revenue (subscribtions like MLSP) . So
investigate!
After you set up your affiliate blog, and decided which product,
you are going to promote for next coming years. You did finish
the easy part of affiliate marketing
What do you mean? Finished the easy part.
8. asking about affiliateYes, because now you have to drive traffic
to your blog, and if you are reading my blog it means; I must
have done something that it is visible to my audience YOU, and
