Clarkson University Campus Trek Game
- 2. Goals: Wanted to create treks for a variety of audiences: current students, prospective students, alumni, and incoming freshmen.
- 3. Promotion: Heavy advertising ahead of time to educate campus
- 4. Game: wntr wndrlnd(TEST) Goal : bring students to interesting places, teach them new facts about Clarkson Time : Feb 18th 5 p.m. – Feb 20th 5 p.m. Prizes : gift certificates for top finishers, a small prize for all 25 individual players, all class years Audience : Current Students Theme : “wntr wndrlnd” Trek : 10 challenges (all but QR code) Place : Clarkson hill campus buildings
- 5. Feedback: “ I can’t wait to do another” “ got me out on a stressful day” "it was a lot of fun and gave me something else to do besides my typical day" “ it was cool to learn more about Clarkson while doing it”

Game: Student Center, CAMP, Cheel – [buildings they were in that day] Had a table set up in a visible area with prizes on it for information on how to play Trek: 5 challenges (open & specific) Location: Audience: Prospective students & families Discover Clarkson Goal: give audience “insider info” they didn’t hear on the campus tour or read in a brochure Time: Accepted Students Open House Day Prizes: assorted Clarkson memorabilia
- 7. Feedback: Prospective students & families were very interested in playing They liked being able to earn additional prizes they couldn’t get in the bookstore

- 10. Future: Freshman Orientation treks For students: student support services & campus resources, etc. Upcoming Treks “ A History of Clarkson” Get to know the legends and stories of Clarkson For parents/families while students are at other events

Future Cont: Individual School Treks engineering, business, arts & sciences, health sciences for in depth info on certain areas of study beyond a campus tour Current Student Treks off Campus Top 10 places you must see in the region before graduation, etc. Continue Open House and Visit Day Treks
