- 4. + Problems Hoa Soft’s order processing stalled when large volumes of orders flooded its TOPS solution. Hoa Soft’s on-disk DBMS’s performance threshold was reached when TOPS’ automatic system-trading kicked in. Prop Desks had no choice but to place missed trades manually. Hoa Soft was in need of a low cost, High Availability solution that would meet or exceed Oracle’s Real Application Cluster (RAC). No remedy was in sight.
