Fragile Oasis: The Making Of

NASA Astronaut Ron Garan created the Fragile Oasis blog after his unique perspective on Earth allowed him to see the true beauty of our planet. In phase two, Fragile Oasis becomes more than a blog: It’s a community where people can learn, act and make a difference on our planet. Crewmembers who have joined the community can reach out to other members, share projects they are starting on Earth to make the planet a better place, vote on other submitted projects and learn about scientific advancements being accomplished on the International Space Station. And, of course, blogs from NASA bloggernauts will continue to inspire readers as they share their experiences of living and working on the ISS. To make this vision a reality, the Fragile Oasis team partnered with JESS3 to create an interactive online community. This presentation gives a behind-the-scenes look at the making of and inspiration for this website, launching soon.
