2. Purpose of the Competition
• We’re organising a competition to stimulate
collaboration between public services,
entrepreneurs and communities to develop
innovative ways of using technology to
improve their neighbourhoods
3. Phases of the Competition
People will be able to submit and rate 16 September-16 October
ideas online on how technology could
help improve their neighbourhoods
Groups will discuss and refine the highest 17 October-24 October
rated ideas at “ideas workshops”
Digital entrepreneurs will be able to 25 October-24 November
submit and rate prototypes they want to
develop that build on the top ideas on
specific challenges (open data/CRM/etc)
Digital entrepreneurs will develop their 25 November
prototypes at a “hackday” with others to
try and win the competition

• You would have the opportunity to nominate a representative
from your organisation to be a judge for the competition
• You would be able to define the Challenge you wanted to
sponsor or you could choose to sponsor our existing
challenges (“Making use of open data” & “Reporting
issues”)We would add your logo and organisation details in
print and online literature of the event as well as in
announcements on the day
• As well as raising your profile at the event itself, your
